Duality in Detail

Biomorphic Immersion

Positioned between realism and abstraction, this body of work investigates perception through extreme proximity. By isolating texture, color, and surface detail, familiar subjects dissolve into ambiguous visual fields, transforming recognizable forms into almost unidentifiable compositions. The collection challenges conventional modes of recognition, asking whether an object can still be understood when stripped of its silhouette and reduced to its sensory fragments.

Extending beyond material observation, the works draw a parallel with the human condition. Humanity shares a common structural foundation, yet individuality emerges through distinct experiences, perspectives, aspirations, and emotional textures. Within this framework, texture becomes a metaphor for lived experience and capability, while color suggests personality, desire, and imagination.

Through references to the animal, vegetal, and mineral realms, the collection reflects on the dualities that define existence: the general and the specific, the familiar and the distinct, the simplified and the detailed. The resulting works inhabit a space where observation becomes both analytical and deeply contemplative, inviting viewers to reconsider what fundamentally defines identity and recognition.
